Lisa, first off I want to say thank you💕 I received my pillow yesterday and I just love it . I slept comfortably for the first time in a long time. I used the side part to lay my head on rather than the center. It keeps your face from getting scrunched up and my ears weren't getting pressed into my head like usual. I fell asleep with my earrings on and they dont even touch the pillow. Thank you again for sharing.

I received it a week ago and just wanted to write a review because l know how hard it was for me to find one on the internet.
ReplyDelete- It is not a cheap pillow. I ended up paying 50 USD for shipping (l live in Europe) and around 83 euros in taxes. Internationals beware they do not accept returns (except from the US).
- the pillow did have a smell, someone had mention something about it in a comment, so l ended up leaving it in front of an open window for a whole day and night and to wash the pillwocases. The smell was gone afterwards.
- Now is it worth it? For me it is for the following reason: it is the only "beauty" pillow that l found that is ergonomic at the same time and the only ergonomic pillow that has the "beauty" feature if that makes sense. After l saw the video l tried to sleep on a bolster like Lisa, a travel pillow and the save my face pillow, and l had serious neck pain the next morning every time. Now it is an ergonomic pillow so it takes time to get used to. After one week l am still trying to but it is getting better. If you are are a side sleeper it is important to use a pillow between the knees and arms like Lisa does (there a lot of youtube tutorials about that). If you sleep on your back, honestly you can get a cheaper ergonomic pillow. In my case l toss and turn a lot most of the time so it is nice to have 2 sides where your face doesn't touch the pillow and where you can sleep in an ergonomic way both on your side and back. I personally think it is worth the investment and the commitment because good sleeping position is very important and l didn't want to do it on the expense of my face touching the pillow.
If you're in the UK watching this, look up 'Putnams Pillow' it's a company that supplies seat wedges and things to the NHS, there is something very similar on their website, I think the side sleeping pillow. It comes in memory foam and ordinary foam, I have the latter as I find the memory foam too solid. It's about £60, but I spent a ton of money trying to find a comfortable pillow with no success till I found this one. It is a very strange looking pillow, when I got it I was sceptical that I would like it.....It's terrific! I just pop my standard silk pillowcases on it, I don't care that they don't fit exactly. Neck and shoulder pain so much better! 😍
ReplyDeleteThank you Lisa! I love my pillow. Do you by any chance know when you need to replace it? Do you think it will last a year? I have no idea how long is too long, but I know that regular pillows need to be replaced regularly because of our natural oils in hair and skin and of course dead skin cells. Dun-dun-DUNNN 😱

ReplyDeleteThis was a great I idea, I ordered it BUT, It didn't work as I am petite and it was just to high. Couldn't return it because it had only a 2 week return policy on it from the date of purchase to the date they receive it back. A lot of $ for a pillow I can't use. I thought it was a 30 day return.

ReplyDeleteAloha,, Lisa! Wow, this looks awesome. My neck has felt great for the past 8 yrs after spending $45 for a "My Pillow" type with bamboo cover. It keeps sleep from being a sweaty experience. But I'm sure it does not protect me from wrinkles, LOL.
ReplyDeleteI'm curious if the memory foam of this pillow, the cover or the silk case makes you feel sweaty during the night? With Hawaii's humidity & heat (even with the AC, sometimes during July-Aug. bedroom will only get down to 78 or 80). So before I consider ordering I need to know your experience regarding the retention of body heat. Thank you so much.

ReplyDeleteLisa, you are 100% correct about smushed face = wrinkles. I am 99% sold on this pillow, pending one thing...is it hot, meaning does it hold the heat really bad? I have an expensive memory foam temper pedic type pillow that I love, but it smushes my face and it gets so hot. I have to flip it multiple times in the night. Maybe all memory foam does? I guess it’s a small price to pay for a good night’s, comfortable rest. Maybe different pillow cases would help as well. Thanks for sharing. I’m going to send this video to my Mom. She will probably order it today, and maybe she will get one for me too, lol 😆

I just turned 37 last Monday and people always say I look young, but being sick with chronic illnesses, you have to sleep a lot more than a normal person. I keep my face off the corners of my pillow too. I’m TERRIFIED of wrinkles and aging. I got some fine lines from grimacing from pain and lack of sleep so this may help. THANK YOU!! ps I would buy I now but I’m flat broke. My daughter is graduating 8th grade next month, bills, and vet care for my puppy lol

ReplyDeleteI think pillow sleeping causes the most damage to your face over just about anything else. 8 hours of smooshing your skin into folds every night over your life time. I try to just sleep on my back. It’s difficult

ReplyDeleteLisa, What a Great pillow, I sleep the same way as you, but instead of the two extra pillows you had, I have a body pillow that I tuck between my legs and snuggle the top part of it, But I sleep in a recliner chair because I have spinal issues that prevent me from sleeping in a bed, I have to be elevated and not lay flat, How do you think this pillow would work for me in a recliner chair, my face is always squishy in the morning and your so right, No creams can Help with that, I’ve been having Fillers to correct the problem areas, that’s been the Only thing that’s worked for this squishy right side of my face.....But it’s High Maintenance.......Much Love 💖

I have osteoporosis and osteoarthritis and my back and neck are so painful. I have a shaped pillow for my neck but it's so old I can't remember where I got it.
