I love your video and found it very informative. I am your age and I have always used good skin care routines. My dermatologist said last year that my skin looked amazing; however, this year I have noticed a big difference. I’m having problems and I’m thinking the skin care routine you use may be beneficial. ReplyDeleteEssence Of Argan oil is also good for wrinkles, been using it for a while now and really works for my skin
ReplyDeleteI remember those tiny brown bottles of Coppertone SPF 4. Using the SPF 8 was really bringing out the big guns! Growing up close to the ocean, tanning slathered in baby oil, and using tanning beds until I was in my 30s, I am amazed that I can still pass for 10 to 15 years younger than I am. I think our genetics, and ethnicity play a huge role in how well we age. Not saying all these skincare things aren’t important - especially sunscreen! I just got Cotz tinted body sunscreen for my arms and legs, and I’m really loving it. It’s just a light tan pink color, and disappears right into your skin.
ReplyDeleteWanted to mention, for anyone who isn’t ready for RetinA, Alpha Skincare makes some great, and inexpensive glycolic acid products. The 14% serum is awesome. I used it for years, and it is really effective ...and under $20 on Amazon.
Thanks for sharing your skincare routine! My mom has lovely skin at 74 and it’s because of her routine, similar to yours. One cannot just be lazy when it comes to looking after yourself!
ReplyDeletedo you find that using those brands of mineral sunscreens separate dry matte but are moisturizing? I am currently using Australian Gold, but it's not moisturizing, especially for around the eye area.

Have you ever tried Albolene Moisturizing Cleanser? You can buy a huge tub of it at the drug store for under $10. It’s dermatologist recommended and fragrance free.

I just started using Robin McGraw skincare line and would love it if you looked into it and gave your honest review of it.
ReplyDeleteAngie, , i took your advice from another video on mineral sunscreen australian gold tinted spf 50. I like it but now on this video, and others , you say you like something else. Its so confusing ! I do enjoy how well you explain things and your closeups of makeup when applying, most other u tubers dont do that.
ReplyDeleteAs always a great video! I’ve been noticing nearly all videos on skin care as well as make, are done from ladies with skin that’s already beautiful. I’ve watched your videos since you first started making them. And over the years, your skin has become amazing. But, what’s the possibility of doing videos on skin that has issues. Maybe more of “How I got from there to here”. A timeline along the way of what you did (like products and procedures) and used over those years. I’m over 50 too. And my skin has been harshly ruined (sun, medications, menopausal acne, poor products because I couldn’t afford more productive products). It’s to a point, I can’t put on any foundation (of any type) or concealers because they end up looking horrible (not smooth, caught up on blemishes making them stand out more and now all the menopause facial hair). I love seeing your routines. I see how beautiful you are now and really yearn that mine would improve at least a bit. I know everyone is different. But maybe you could do some vids of “then to now”? Thanks and keep the great skin care vids coming!

ReplyDeleteI have actually uses qg skin care Magic Gold and it is by far the best face cream I have ever used! It eliminated my dry skin and and made my wrinkles almost disappear. I tried everything and a friend recommended it to me and I have to say it is MAGIC. Just google it or check out amazon, it’s in a gold jar and says “QG Skincare Magic Gold”
ReplyDeleteHi Angie. I just have to let you know that my skin has been literally transformed by the products you recommended in this video. I am currently 41 years old. I used proactive solution for many years starting in my mid 20's. A couple years ago I decided that I was getting too old for that and there must be something better out there for my aging skin. I used many different products and about 10 months ago I discovered Dr. Drey here on youtube. She suggested just a simple cleanser and moisturizer. While I have ended up sticking with the cerave wash and night lotions that she recommended it just wasn't working for my skin. I was getting multiple breakouts in the chin area a week. It was really discouraging. I once again started using proactive but it was no longer working for me. I came across your video after watching many of your makeup videos. You have the most beautiful skin and I thought what the heck! I'm going to give a good majority of these products a try. I got on amazon and ordered the vitamin C, AHA, Q-10, and Matrixyl 6. I happen to have a prescription for clindamycin and retin A. I was about to give up on both of these prescriptions. Dr. Drey recommends putting them on after moisturizing and that wasn't working. Maybe they weren't absorbing well....I don't know. I decided to do it in the order that you apply everything and it has worked out SO WELL!!!!! I also ordered the tao clean orbital face brush and I LOVE it! I just can't thank you enough for sharing your routines. It has helped my skin so much! I also ordered the AHA body lotion and like that as well. Thanks for everything! Sue
