  1. I used to never look my age, until I turned about 55, then I did! I'm 64 in this photo and since had a birthday. I've never had money to do anything to my skin. Now, I have Rosacea on my face really bad. Anyway, I'm just trying something that Clinique makes for redness correction. You could go onto you tubers sites who do anti aging more than anything. Beauty and the Bargain is one who is into skin care.
I wish I would have done a lot of things before now. I'm alone and have no daughters, just big strapping sons! They don't care much about girl stuff! If you look her up, please tell her I sent you!
I'm not sure her real name. Wish I could do something more permanent. I bought some IT foundation, by the lady who helped invent it, and has rosacea as well. I need some luck!

  5. I started to use last week 2 per cent retinoid from a company called the ordinary. At first my skin started to break out (I believe it's what some call it purging) Now I went to 50+ spf on the mornings. Maybe I should film the journey see how it goes :P

  6. I've been using the .05 for a couple of years now. I use it every other night. I started off slowly using it a couple of times a week. Just take it slowly and take a break if your skin gets too irritated. Everyone's skin is different. I am excited to hear about how it ends up working out for you! xoxo

  7. I used it for years and miss it! It really helped my skin look better with my melasma. I am going to talk to my dermatologist about it next time I go so thanks for the reminder. Remember, no other face products right before or after you apply the Retin-A. Yes, daily may be too much in the beginning so see how your skin does and build up. I did break out initially for a few weeks and then it calmed down. I really miss it!

  11. I wish I could help you, I know there is many ladies using it along the way.. I know Beauty with Anne Marie she is on the journey and doing it.. I am doing Retinol right now , but might make a jump to Retin A one day. I get worried of it as well, so I understand the worry and being nervous or scared. Have a good weekend love and blessings xoox <3

  12. Hi, Kara! Thought I would come check out your channel since you subscribed to mine. :) Retin A actually starts at 0.01, then 0.25 (I think), then 0.5 and then 0.1. You definitely want to start SLOW. What you did, in terms of starting in one small part of your face, is absolutely RIGHT! Keep at it! As for peeling on the 3rd day, that has not happened to me (yet), but I do exfoliate a couple times a week and also use a very heavy medical-grade moisturizing cream on the nights I don't use Retin A (right now, I'm Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and am getting ready to add a weekend day in soon).

Good Luck!!!  I have a couple of videos on my Retin A journey on my channel--all together in a playlist--if you're interested. I also highly recommend that you watch either Brianna Stanko's Retin A videos or those from Angie on Hot & Flashy. Both have a lot of experience with Retin A and are especially good at explaining the do's and don't. Additionally, Brianna works for Premier Look, where I get my Refissa online. I can't recommend Refissa highly enough for dry skin gals!

  15. Hi, Kara! I also just started on Retin A last week (0.025% cream), and absolutely started shedding on day 3. Obviously I don't have tons of experience with it yet, but this is what I'm doing: Retin A 1 night/week; daily morning exfoliation (with a really fine, gentle scrub); and a bee venom cream each morning and the nights I'm not using Retin A. If that goes well, I'll increase Retin A to 2 nights/week and keep everything else the same. I can't wait to hear how your journey goes!! 💖 Good luck!! Mandy

  19. I use the 1% potency and I first tried it on my day off when I first got it. I mix it with some of my over the counter facial creams. If your skin is very sensitive then use it sparingly. Also make sure your using a good SPF. I've been using it for last 5 years. You might experience some dryness but I do have very oily skin so it really helped me.

  20. Can't wait to see how it works for you, I have same problem areas on my face, I did not try this product but it sounds interesting, wondering how long it will take to see results!

  21. I only use a point five twice a week because anything more than that my face breaks out really bad and if I'm having a breakout it doesn't get used to it all as long as you don't have a reaction go for it it's really your choice but there's also some stuff with cell stem sciences that does the same thing it just takes more consistency in using it I believe you have to look into that more

  24. If you are too worried just add a little regular serum with it and ease in to it. I started out with Roc Retinol serum to build up to RetinA.

  26. Hi. Is this prescription covered by insurance? I'm excited to here your thoughts as you continue to use it.

  27. I use the 1%. I have to mix it in with my moisturizer. It is very strong. My skin does peel for sure. It has done amazing things for my skin. It has decreased my wrinkles and dark spots! You are going to love it. Be careful in the sun for sure! ♥♥♥

  28. You look AMAZING for 40! You must have had your kids so young. I've never heard of Retin A. I think your skin looks amazing at it is but I hope the cream does what you want it to do. I have a question, do you use a diffuser with your ring light? How far away from you do you put your ring light? A meter? Right in front of you? Does the ring light ever hurt your eyes? Good luck with the Retin A Kara! xxxx
