Who Should Be Allowed to Administer Anti-Wrinkle Injections?

Anti-wrinkle injections are very safe if they are administered by the appropriately trained individuals. Many customers who want to look young or want to soften or remove the lines that bother them on their face will attempt to find a practitioner who can help them.

There are several different brands of Botulinum toxin on the market and they vary in their strengths in terms of the international units. The most famous of all is Allergan's Botox. Then there is Merz Pharma's Xeomin and BoCouture. The advantage of this is that it doesn't need to be stored in a fridge. There is also Azzalure and Dysport.

Remember approximately 85% of cosmetic surgery in the world is aesthetics. The reminder of the other 15% actually involves going into the operating theatre.

The first question to ask is where do you find such a practitioner? It is always a good idea to find someone who has been recommended by someone you know. The first thing to make sure of is their qualifications. Are they a Doctor, dentist or a nurse.

The next question is how much experience have they actually got? There are many training courses where the students are taught everything there is to know, however when it comes to the practical side, they practice on oranges. Oranges are not a good substitute for human skin.

Always ask the healthcare professional about their professional qualifications. I always carry my GMC registration with me to show to a new client. Ask them for a training certificate to see where they have trained and ask them to show you evidence of their insurance.

It's important to ask the practitioner what product they are using and how many units are being injected per area. I personally take a face map and show each client exactly how many units have been injected per area. If I am doing a treatment for hyperhidrosis I let the clients know exactly how many units have been injected per arm pit.
