There is no single right way to treat the aging neck. You really have to take a look at the patient and decide what combination approach needs to be used. In other words, do they have fat under their chin? Is it wrinkles? Is it fine lines? Is it cragginess to the skin? All these different aspects of the aging neck need to get treated differently. If I feel like a patient has too much fat under their chin and that's what's contributing to the aging neck, I may suggest Kybella, which is an injection which dissolves the fat under your neck. If patients don't want injections under their neck because they're fearful of needles, we often use the CoolMini, which is a nonsurgical, painless approach that freezes the fat under the neck.

I look and see what you might need, what the best treatment options for you. Some patients need Botox under their neck because they have prolonged cords which stick out. You really have to evaluate what's making you age when you look at the neck. Is is the texture of the skin? Is it the loss of volume? Is it fine lines? Are there certain wrinkles that stick out? Is it just sagging of the skin? Is it lost volume? Is it the tone? So there's not one treatment for the aging neck, it's a combination of treatments that will best suit you. What I do is I will customize a treatment regime based on what it is that looks like you specifically need for your aging face to make you look younger and rejuvenate that area.
